A message from Rex

November 2006

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Now that we have that out of the way…..the news!!

Rex Allen Days in Willcox was probably the best it has been in years. Johnny Western was amazing. He always does a great job, but this year he was really on the money. As a special treat, Cody and Logan Allen also performed. It was their first time to sing in Willcox. I think that finally there might be an Allen to carry on the tradition. Wyatt and Rachel were also there riding in the parade and singing with Deanna on Friday and Saturday nights. (If you want to know what that means come to Rex Allen Days next year and find out!) Rachel looks good. She is now beginning her third trimester and all is well. The baby is due February 3, 2007. I have been trying to get Wyatt and Rachel to go with a family name for the little boy, but so far they haven’t said yes to the name Horace. Now that’s a pity!

Cody and Logan are at ASU in Phoenix and doing very well. Both are carrying a 4.0 GPA. Both Deanna and I are so proud of them both. Right now, they will both be at ASU next semester. After that, who knows. Cody is studying International Business and Logan Communications.

Wyatt will graduate from The University of Tennessee this December. He is a free agent this year in baseball and talking to several teams. However, he has also been offered several jobs in Nashville that would keep him home to help with the baby. Personally, I think he needs to stay home and help Rachel change diapers!

Wade and Chris are fine also. Chris has gone back to school to finish her management degree. Good for her. Wade’s construction business is growing like crazy. He is a good man and Deanna and I are so proud of him.

Marcus and Julia are also in Texas. Marc is working with Wade and growing his way into the construction business. Julia has also gone back to school to further her nursing career. Marc still loves his motorcycles and ride them every chance he gets.

Deanna is beautiful. She has been able to go on the road with me more this year and that has been great. Sometimes I feel like people want to see her more than me! She is still in the Real Estate business. We have moved again to a new home here in Vegas. We now have a pool and hot tub. We really enjoy the water. And when we do have time at home we spend a lot of time there.

Everything else is going fine. The dates are beginning to come in for 2007 and I will be on the road as usual. There are some other things in the works, but I’ll tell you about them as the come about. I have been so busy this fall, and I am sorry that I haven’t taken the time to write and get the CD’s done that needed to be done. It seems like fall is a very busy time for me now, so is winter and spring for that matter.

I really hope that you all have a happy holiday season. Most of our family will be in Las Vegas for Christmas. Wyatt and Rachel can’t be here because of the Baby, but we hope for next year. Both Deanna and I wish you all the best for a better 2007.

Rex
