March 2004
Hello Everybody,
Where to begin? “The Country Gold Christmas Show” was a blast!! I had a
great time singing with LeRoy, David and Jimmy. It was something I have
always wanted to do. For all of you who got to see us, I hope you had as
much fun as I did.

Deanna and I drove from the West Coast to the first date in Zanesville,
Ohio. We did make a quick stop in Nashville to see Logan perform in his
Christmas show first. What a wonderful voice he has. It brought tears to
Deanna and my eyes to hear him. Maybe the next stop for him is “American
Idol”! He should be old enough by next year!
After the Christmas tour finished, we drove to Texas for Christmas at
Wade’s home. Some of you might know that Deanna and I are going to have
a daughter-in-law June 12th. Wade and Chris are going to get married.
She is a great girl and we are proud to have her in the family.
Christmas day we left for California to spend the remainder of the
holidays with my Aunt Con, Cody and Logan. So, we had Christmas twice.
The biggest change in our life is that Cody stayed with us. He decided
to live with us in Las Vegas and finish High School here. He is almost
6’ tall now. The twins turn 16 this month. Hard to believe isn’t it?
They keep growing up on us.
Wyatt is in Tucson at Spring Training. Right now it looks like he will
be going to Birmingham this year. He also is getting married! Found out
last night that he and Rachael will take their vows in November. Deanna
and I are going down to Tucson later this month to see them. Two
weddings in one year!
Marcus is in Texas working with Wade. I think he wanted warmer weather
than what he had in Utah. It does my heart good to know that he and his
brother are very close.
I’m doing more commercials this month.
Mahindra Tractors is sponsoring
the
PRCA this year and I will be their voice on the TV spots. They will
show all over the place I guess.
I started back on the road January in Arizona. Pretty time of year
there. February found me in Texas. Winter is almost over. About this
time of year I always am looking for budding trees! Time for shorts
again! I hope to see all of you soon “on the road”. Keep an eye on the
schedule for dates in your area.
Rex
