Las Vegas, NV What a June it has been. What a year for that matter. Cody and Logan arrived here in Las Vegas June 6th and we haven't stopped running since. In one week alone I did the TV commercials for the movie Say It Isn't So, recorded a new version of Last of the Silver Screen Cowboys for Encore's Western Channel with Cody and Logan singing background vocals on the record as well as the video and Wyatt pitched two games at the College World Series as well as was drafted 39th and signed by the Chicago White Sox. Big week HUH! After that, we went on vacation to Zion National Park; The North Rim of the Grand Canyon; Lake Powell; The Four Corners; Mesa Verdi Indian Ruins and the Meteor Crater in Arizona. Today, Cody, Logan and I are going in to the studio to record a trio of I Love You Arizona and we leave for Dollywood tomorrow. We all had a great time in Fargo in mid June. They had Rex Allen Jr Ride Cowboy Ride Day at the Red Hawks baseball game. I sang the National Anthem and Ride Cowboy Ride. We made lots of new friends and hope to get back there soon. A special thanks to Bruce Thom and the rest of the Red Hawks. They really made the day for all of us. Lots going on this summer. I hope to see all of you on the road. Sincerely, Rex Allen Jr. |
