July 2008 Hello Everyone, My Christmas CD is finished and at the pressing plant!!!! The CD is called “It’s Finally Christmas”. I will get them to the Web site and Wichita ASAP. There are 18 songs on the CD. Hope you like it!!! In other news Cody is transferring to The University of Maryland for his Junior and Senior year. They have a top ranked business school. He has been home here in Vegas for the summer. It will probably be the last summer Deanna and I have kids in the house. Logan is in Nashville at Bellemont University. He will finish there we are sure. He’s working this summer and singing some. Wyatt is going back to school for his master's degree. He will be attending Vanderbilt this fall. Jackson and Rachel are doing well too. My Grandson is growing up. Like most 18 month old boys, he knows the word “NO” the best! I have a new truck! Special thanks to Richard Davis in Kansas City for all his help. My old White Ford that was also my Dad’s, Deanna and I gave to Marcus. He will love and care for it and never sell it too. I’m so happy that it is going to stay in the family. He and Julia are doing fine. Just hot in Texas this time of year. Julia is continuing on with here nursing Education and Marc is working with Wade. Wade, Chris and Colby are fine too. Colby is walking. Not talking much yet. Wade has bought a concrete business along with his construction Company. Chris should finish her degree this fall. All is well with them. Deanna is working hard at her job. She is the Director of Sales and Marketing at a large project here in Vegas. She is at the top of her game right now and the best in town at what she does. We would love to go on a vacation, but can’t seem to find the time. She looks great though! I am ready for August. There are new dates to add to the calendar, but I won’t do that ‘till next week. I have been named “The Chairman of the Advisory Board” of the Western Music Association. It is a great honor. Thanks to Gladys VanDyke and some new special friends in Branson, Mo., there is a real good chance that there will be a permanent home for the WMA in Branson in the not so distant future. And who knows, maybe for me too! You never can tell. All in all I am well. Hard to believe I’ll be 61 this August isn’t it. I feel 40! But when I look in the mirror I see someone older than that! I miss you all and can’t wait to see you soon. Rex |
